  1. UMUR "Nevermore" is the self-titled debut full-length studio album by US, Seattle based metal act Nevermore. The album was released in January by Century Media Records. Nevermore was founded on the ashes of the legendary US power metal act Sanctuary.

THE ASHES OF THE GREAT '' SANCTUARY -WHO GAVE US 2 VERY HEAVY AND CLASSIC METAL RELEASES -THEN WAS BORN THE NEW BAND'' NEVERMORE ''queranicliposkeworkklanoluncepigs.coinfo SONG ON THE ALBUM IS A TESTAMENT TO /5(15).
  4. American Power/Thrash/Groove Metal band formed in Seattle, Washington in Nevermore was formed after Warrel Dane and Jim Sheppard's previous band, Sanctuary (4), had disbanded. Jeff Loomis went on to join Sanctuary as a touring guitarist just before they folded, and then formed Nevermore with Dane and Sheppard. Nevermore ceased activity in after Loomis and Van Williams both departed.
  5. This is the best debut album by any band, anywhere. Born from the ashes of 80s Metal act, Sanctuary, Nevermore breathes new life into the fading Metal scene of the mids. Although the first track, "What Tomorrow Knows", begins with straight-ahead power chords, dont be fooled.
  6. With its rapid, winding and unpredictable riffs, "Godmoney" prefigures Nevermore's later accomplishments in technical metal. The vocals aren't half as interesting as the hurricanes of palm-muted notes in the bridges, but the band keeps up enough pressure to deliver a solid and sometimes mesmerizing performance.
  7. My only real complaints about Nevermore’s debut are the shortness of the CD in regards the number of songs, not the overall CD length (only 8 songs) and the occasional repetition. However, this was a promising debut from one of Metal's best bands, and also the CD that would be most similar to Dane and Sheppard’s work in Sanctuary.
  8. 'Timothy Leary' almost works and is a middling effort but when Nevermore are so prolifically churning out classic after classic these days it seems slightly vapid. And 'Godmoney' is just boring and predictable. The strange thing about the reissue of the album is that the demos are all far better than the actual recorded album/5(6).
  9. Time will tell if this CD holds up against the classic albums from the Nevermore catalog. As it stands now, I am thoroughly enjoying some new music from one of my favorite metal bands. The digi version of this album features two cover songs including "The Crystal .
